Sizing Tips for Kids

Size by height, not age. A child's correct size is their body height in centimeters — the age column is only an average guide.
Layering allowance. If the child will wear the garment over a mid layer, size up one step for room to move.
Between sizes? Choose the larger size for a looser fit, or the smaller for a closer fit.
Re-measure each season. Children grow quickly — check height before ordering a new season's kit.

Fit the larger foot. Measure at the end of the day and stand while measuring — the same body measurements used for apparel apply to footwear length.

How to Measure

Ask a friend to measure you while you stand straight and relaxed, without shoes, wearing only close-fitting clothing.

Body Measurements

Chest / Bust. Measure straight under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest or bust. Keep the tape level and snug — not tight.
Waist. Measure around the narrowest part of your torso, at your natural waistline.
Seat. Standing with feet hip-width apart, measure around your hips at the widest part.
Arm Length. Bend the elbow slightly, then measure from the centre back of the neck, over the shoulder to the elbow, and down to the wrist.
Inner Leg Length. Stand straight and measure from the crotch down the inside of the leg to the floor.
Head. Measure around the biggest part of the head, just above the eyebrows.
Foot Length. Stand and measure from the heel to the tip of the longest toe.

Measuring Tips

Measure over an undergarment or base layer only — bulky clothing distorts the result.
Keep the tape horizontal and comfortably snug; it should not compress the body.
Take measurements in centimeters for the closest match to the charts.
Write every measurement down and compare against the table rather than guessing from your usual size.

Fit Guide

Garments are grouped into fit categories so you can match the cut to the activity.

Fit Categories

Fit	How It Wears
Next To Skin	Cut snug to the body to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency while keeping freedom of movement — used for tights and base layers.
Slim Fit	Shaped close to the body, using stretch and stretch-blend fabrics for freedom of movement on the trail.
Regular Fit	Extra versatile and not closely fitted — ideal for cross-seasonal use and multi-layering, contoured with room for movement.
Relaxed / Comfort Fit	Loose on the body for breathability in warm conditions, and roomy enough to wear over a thicker base layer or trousers.

Fit Versions

Classic Fit. The original size scale — choose your usual size from the Classic Fit tables.
New Fit. A refined scale with updated measurements across the range; New Fit sizes differ from Classic Fit, so always use the matching table.
Mix freely. Many garments are available in one fit only — the product page states which fit applies.

Choosing Your Size

Start with body measurements. Compare your measurements against the table instead of relying on your usual size in another brand.
Check the product page. Some trousers come in different inseam lengths — review the product detail before ordering.
Think about layering. For jackets and outdoor tops, consider whether you will wear base layers or fleece underneath.

Measurements refer to body size, not garment dimensions. If you fall between two sizes, choose the larger size for a looser fit or the smaller size for a closer fit.

Combining durability, comfort and functionality, the Kajka 65 is an advanced trekking backpack in the true Fjällräven spirit. Now with an all-new, lighter design featuring fine-tuned functions, the lining and reinforcements made from recycled materials and improved repairability but still with its innovative, one-of-a-kind wooden frame. Kajka distributes heavy loads well and has been praised by both the trade press and hikers all over the world.

S/M models have slightly tapered shoulder straps at the front to better fit smaller frames and give more room for the bust, plus a slightly shorter adjustable hipbelt. M/L models have longer shoulder straps that do not taper at the ends to better fit wider torsos.
