Sizing Tips for Kids

Size by height, not age. A child's correct size is their body height in centimeters — the age column is only an average guide.
Layering allowance. If the child will wear the garment over a mid layer, size up one step for room to move.

How to Measure

Ask a friend to measure you while you stand straight and relaxed, without shoes, wearing only close-fitting clothing.

Body Measurements

Chest / Bust. Measure straight under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest or bust. Keep the tape level and snug — not tight.
Waist. Measure around the narrowest part of your torso, at your natural waistline.
Seat. Standing with feet hip-width apart, measure around your hips at the widest part.
Arm Length. Bend the elbow slightly, then measure from the centre back of the neck, over the shoulder to the elbow, and down to the wrist.
Inner Leg Length. Stand straight and measure from the crotch down the inside of the leg to the floor.
Head. Measure around the biggest part of the head, just above the eyebrows.
Foot Length. Stand and measure from the heel to the tip of the longest toe.

Measuring Tips

Measure over an undergarment or base layer only — bulky clothing distorts the result.
Keep the tape horizontal and comfortably snug; it should not compress the body.
Take measurements in centimeters for the closest match to the charts.
Write every measurement down and compare against the table rather than guessing from your usual size.

Smart knee-length cape inspired by the Sami's versatile and practical Luhkka. Can be worn on its own during the fall and spring and as a reinforcement garment over normal winter clothing on cold winter days - just as the Sami have always worn it. When worn over normal shell garments it's designed to offer flexible protection against the cold and bitter winds, and any snow can be quickly shaken off before going indoors. A thin synthetic lining has been added to the strong, wind and water-resistant G-1000® for extra warmth. The cape has a fixed, adjustable hood with detachable synthetic fur edging and a reflective band in the back. There is a half zipper in the front and a G-1000® gusset in the opening with soft fleece on the inside. A breast pocket is positioned immediately beside the opening and further down there is a kangaroo pouch. Push buttons at the wrists hold the cape in place when you are on the move. Zipper pulls and the trim are in natural tone leather.
