Sizing Tips for Kids

Size by height, not age. A child's correct size is their body height in centimeters — the age column is only an average guide.
Layering allowance. If the child will wear the garment over a mid layer, size up one step for room to move.

How to Measure

Ask a friend to measure you while you stand straight and relaxed, without shoes, wearing only close-fitting clothing.

Body Measurements

Chest / Bust. Measure straight under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest or bust. Keep the tape level and snug — not tight.
Waist. Measure around the narrowest part of your torso, at your natural waistline.
Seat. Standing with feet hip-width apart, measure around your hips at the widest part.
Arm Length. Bend the elbow slightly, then measure from the centre back of the neck, over the shoulder to the elbow, and down to the wrist.
Inner Leg Length. Stand straight and measure from the crotch down the inside of the leg to the floor.
Head. Measure around the biggest part of the head, just above the eyebrows.
Foot Length. Stand and measure from the heel to the tip of the longest toe.

Measuring Tips

Measure over an undergarment or base layer only — bulky clothing distorts the result.
Keep the tape horizontal and comfortably snug; it should not compress the body.
Take measurements in centimeters for the closest match to the charts.
Write every measurement down and compare against the table rather than guessing from your usual size.

Compact and stable tent for trekkers who prefer to travel with light backpacks. The tent height is somewhat lower and the vestibule smaller, all to keep weight down. Perfect as a compact and lightweight trekking tent in the warmer months of the year, but also suitable for winter use in all but the most exposed conditions. The flysheet is made from Fjällräven’s new high-performance TripleRip polyamide and has an innovative construction that combines two different fabric weights – 20 denier in the top part and 40 denier at the bottom where abrasion against the ground is most intensive – balancing good strength to weight ratio. The flysheet and inner tent are connected so the inner tent is kept dry while pitching. Simple handling with two colour-coded poles, generous pole sleeves with low friction and easily adjusted fox feet. It is also possible to use double tent poles (an accessory) if using the tent in exposed conditions. Six guylines in Dyneema with one-hand adjustments and reflective thread woven in. Highly positioned vents maximise ventilation. In warm conditions the flysheet can be rolled up at both ends to increase the view and further enhance airflow. If the weather is warm but unpredictable the door can be fastened at half-open position – the zipper has an auto-lock feature so it won’t “creep” in the wind. All openings are covered by a fine mesh that stops even the smallest, barely visible insects from getting in. Clothesline plus mesh pockets in the inner tent make it easy to dry gear and keep organised. Attachment points for Gear Loft (an accessory) in the inner tent.
